Me and my friends witnessed a helicopter go towards , the lake during a brush fire , and , across , the lake is SDGE and I'm saying , that they stop at SDGE to extract water to help stop the fire , but my friend says , they took it out the lake.
It's Chollas Lake BTW. And there are animals , that live in the lakeCan helicopters , during a brush fire , come to a lake and take water out of the lake to help stop the fire?
Yes they can aslong as they have a bucket but the problem with that is a few things one PETA and some extreme animal lovers have complained about that in court that by doing that numerous fish, turtles and whatever else was taken out of they lake was then burned to death when dousing the fire. 2. there is a very small chance that a scuba diver could be in the water and get sucked into the bucket as well. It is an urban legend but it is possible so they would have to search from either the air or on a boat and make sure there are no other boats or a scuba flag down in the water. Can helicopters , during a brush fire , come to a lake and take water out of the lake to help stop the fire?
I guess if they had a bucket... but seriously, the helicopter was probably just there to provide a bird's eye view of the situation, where to go, etc. I'm guessing the fire trucks pulled water out of the lake, or a nearby hydrant.
Yeah, they do it all the time. Just Google image search forest fire helicopter or something to that affect.
