Both. She gets to, then I go back over them. My daughter actually loves brushing her teeth so sometimes it can take up to 30 minutes to get it done!Do you allow your baby to brush their own teeth?
I do both he has a tooth brush he uses and then I use a different one. He goes first and then it is mommys turn. Sometimes he pitches a fit when I do it but that is too darn bad. He is 2.5 and he fights me less and less now that he has been to the dentist twice and knows the dentist likes his cleen teeth.
He also loves to floss. I buy the flossers not dental floss and he does his own teeth and then I have my turn :-)
My daughter doesn't have teeth yet, but I do clean out her mouth.
But... I don't let my 4 year old even brush his teeth ALL by himself, yet. Some nights, he wants to have a go of it, and I let him, and then I rebrush his teeth myself.
The dentist told me a child can brush their teeth completely by themselves once they can write in cursive, and he's just learning how to print!
I brush my son's first and then he can brush the. If he is in a mood then I let him do it first and then I do it straight after or wait for a little while and then do it.
It's a learning curve for both you and her. You have to find something that is going to work for you both. Maybe let her brush them in the morning and you do it in the night?
I usually brush my daughters teeth and then she gets to ';finish'; she gets the fronts pretty good but not so much on the molars. shes 17 months btw
I brush my son's teeth first, then I let him 'play' with the tooth brush.
