When you brush your teeth, what does most of the work, your brush or the toothpaste?

Your brush! The toothpaste, other than containing flouride, is really just a breath refresher! You could use NO toothpaste (but you wouldnt get the flouride) and still clean your teeth just as well. It's the mechanical action of brushing the plaque and debris away that counts. Think of it like washing a car: you could use any soap that makes bubbles, but if you just slosh it over the car, it wouldnt matter at all. It's the scrubbing action with a towel, sponge, brush, etc, that cleans the car. It's the same way with your teeth. When you brush your teeth, what does most of the work, your brush or the toothpaste?
Toothbrush. Proper technique in brushing gives you maximum results. Happy brushing!
