When can my five year old brush her teeth on her own?

have been brushing my daughters teeth for her and then putting more tooth paste on the brush and letting her brush her teeth on her own (with not alot of tooth paste the second time). When can she start brushing her teeth on her own. This is a real question. She is my first and only child and usually I ask you guys when I need advice. She should have been brushing her own teeth a long time ago. Take her to a dentist appointment %26amp; let the dentist show her how to brush her teeth. He'll probably give her some cool mouth wash that turns her plaque blue or pink so she'll see where she needs to focus her brushing. Get her a cool toothbrush. Give her this one responsibility. She'll be fine.

My son is 6 and I just started letting him brush his own teeth. He brushes them and then I check them, and if he didn't clean them all I will go over them for him. I think that works because he gets happy when I say ';Wow! You did a very good job this time.'; And I think he is learning that way too.
i think you should have the dentist show her how to brush her teeth and teach her about her teeth i think the dentist is the best person to ask about your teeth problems.
