My mullah let me borrow one of his namaz books, and in it I read that if you use a miswak before you do wudu, your reward will increase by 70.If I brush my teeth before I do wudu, will my reward for namaz increase by 70 times?
Yes, that is true.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, 'Had I not thought it difficult for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the Miswak (tooth-stick) before every Salat.' (Source:Al-Bukhari and Muslim).
Using Miswak is a really good thing, there are many advantages such as:
1. Miswaak strengthens the gums and prevents tooth decay.
2. Miswaak assists in eliminating toothaches and prevents further increase of decay which has already set in.
3. Miswaak creates a fragrance in the mouth.
4. Miswaak is a cure for illness.
5. Miswaak eliminates bad odors and improves the sense of taste.
6. Miswaak sharpens the memory.
7. Miswaak is a cure for headaches.
8. Miswaak creates lustre (noor) on the face of the one who continually uses it.
9. Miswaak causes the teeth to glow.
10. Miswaak strengthens the eyesight.
11. Miswaak assists in digestion.
12. Miswaak clears the voice.
13. The greatest benefit of using miswaak is gaining the pleasure of Allah.
14. The reward of Salaah (Prayers) is multiplied 70 times if Miswaak was used before it.If I brush my teeth before I do wudu, will my reward for namaz increase by 70 times?
Yes its true
Other Benefits of The miswaak is...
It is a means to cleanse the mouth, attain the pleasure of Allah, enjoyment for the angels, improvement for the sight, removes foul smell and yellowness, whitens the teeth, strengths the gums, digests the food, eliminates phlegm, increases the reward of salat by many folds, clears the recitation of the Qur鈥檃n, increases in eloquence of speech, strengths the stomach, angers Satan, increases the rewards, reduces bile, eases the veins on the head and, eases the pain of toothache, freshens the breath, makes it easy for the soul to depart.
I
n the kitaab Nahr it is written that its benefits reach more then thirty in number. The least one being to abstain from causing any difficulty upon others and the greatest one being able to recite the Shahada (testimony of faith) at the time of death.
Your teeth may also fall off 20 years earlier becausing of reseding
gums from brushing five times a day.
You might not get the same amount of reward as using a miswak but since your intention is noble inshallah Allah will reward you for the pain you will take in cleaning your teeth before each namaaz.
